Our Blackboard infrastructure will be upgraded Sunday 26th January 2014 between 1am and 4am GMT. During this period there will be service disruptions and Blackboard will not be available. This is a change to the previously advertised window of disruption of January 25th 2014.

Equella Decomissioning
The University has decided that the Equella repository will be decommissioned in November 2014. From the 18th December 2013, university staff (with the exception of the library) will not be able to contribute items into Equella. Existing items in Equella will be accessible until November 2014. Overnight there was a problem with the Aston’s internet connection. This appears to have affected logins for any system that is hosted externally to the University which includes Blackboard. Known Issue: Double spaced emails
When sending an announcement email or an email through the system with the new web text editor, the message received is double-spaced and isn’t formatted as it appeared in the web text editor before sending. The email is still readable, and the announcement is formatted correctly when viewed in Blackboard. This will be fixed in Continue Reading…
