Announcement emails aren’t sent with the announcement subject

A recent Blackboard update has changed how announcement emails are sent.

Prior to the update, announcements were sent with the following pattern in the email subject:

Course Name: Announcement Subject

Now, instead of containing the subject of the announcement, they are sent as the following:

Course name: Instructor name sent you a new announcement in Course name

Blackboard have acknowledged this behaviour should not have been changed. The behaviour is expected to be reverted in October’s upgrade to Blackboard.
