The university has decided to decommission the Equella content repository.
In the meantime, you should begin to download the necessary files from Equella. You can identify these in your Blackboard course as the items that appear with the Equella logo next to it, eg:
Login to Equella
- Go to equella.aston.ac.uk and click on Aston University
- Log in using your Aston username and password
Retrieve the item
You can either locate the file by searching the repository for it or, if you were the original contributor, you can look in the My resources section of Equella.
If you were the original uploader, use the My Resources screen to locate the item.
Download the file
This screen shows the details of the item, and includes the link to any attached files. Right click the file and select Save Target As (or similar, depending on the web browser you’re using) to download it to a convenient location on your computer.
For multiple files export –
- Click the Search button from the menu bar and enter the name of the file you are searching for, before pressing Search.
- Choose the file you would like to export from the search results and click on the Export link to download the file content onto your machine.
Video files should be uploaded to Kaltura, our video streaming service.
All other files
Should be uploaded into Blackboard as an attachment.
